Position: Engagement Manager

Job Description

Engagement Managers run consulting engagements and workstreams and lead client service teams in advising our clients on important business challenges. Responsibilities include leading problem-solving efforts, serving as a client advisor, driving client communications, developing firm talent, acquiring subject matter expertise, and creating firm intellectual property. Engagement Managers manage a team, but are also expected to contribute as stand-alone leaders in client service, client development, and talent development.


Managing client engagements

Advising and presenting to senior client executives

Overseeing the collection and preparation of research and analysis

Developing the skills of colleagues

Acquiring deep knowledge within the firm’s target industries and functions

Creating intellectual property that enhances client service


5 – 8 years of work experience, with at least 3 – 4 years at a top management consulting firm (e.g., Bain, McKinsey, BCG)

Experience in consulting business development (e.g., problem solving on client needs, creating proposals and case studies)

Experience developing and delivering client presentations/communications

Excellent problem solving skills with comfort preparing and reviewing research analysis

Ability to contribute across multiple functions of the team (e.g., high-level communication, deck design, analysis)

Outstanding track record of success in past professional and academic endeavors

Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, JD, PhD) required
